Every few years, Southern California transforms into a sea of color. Hillsides explode with poppies, lupine, primrose, and dozens of other wildflowers in a rare natural event known as the Superbloom.
Join Bikes and Hikes LA for a guided Superbloom hike in Los Angeles, led by knowledgeable local guides who know exactly when and where to go for the best possible bloom conditions.

What Is Superbloom 2026?
A Superbloom occurs after an unusually wet winter, when dormant wildflower seeds across Southern California burst into bloom all at once. The result is one of the most spectacular natural displays in California – but it doesn’t happen every year, and it never lasts long.
Bloom timing depends on rainfall, temperature, and elevation. In some locations, flowers peak for only a few weeks before fading.
That’s why seeing the Superbloom with an experienced local guide makes all the difference.
